COVID-19 has taken over the lives of many Americans in the last few weeks causing us to work from home, practice social distancing, and quarantining ourselves if we are experiencing symptoms for up to 14 days. Leaf 411, a free cannabis nurse hotline is offering advice in the midst of this crisis for the cannabis industry. Whether you are a dispensary or a cannabis consumer it’s important to understand the ways to protect yourself at this time.

COVID-19 Cannabis Industry Leaf411Katherine Golden, RN, has served the medical community for over 22 years and for the past 3+ years has worked as a cannabis nurse educator and consultant. She the CEO, Executive Director & Co-Founder of Leaf411 which launched November 2018. Leaf411 is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit and is the first national cannabis nurse hotline providing a free- to-public, educational and directional support phone hotline for both skeptics, novice and experienced cannabis users alike. Her 22 years of experience brings vast knowledge in a variety of nursing roles (med/surg, Ob/gyn, maternity, OR, etc.). Her spotless nursing career started in California and has been a registered nurse in the state of Colorado (RN.0173425) since 2005. Her intro into cannabis medicine was a very personal journey with a young family member diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 3+ years ago and since then she’s developed a strong passion for implementing innovative plans of care to improve patients’ quality of life along with educating the community-at-large about this beautiful plant. Katherine is a proud wife and mother.

Katherine received her Associates of Science degree in nursing from El Camino College School of Nursing in Torrance, CA, and has obtained seven separate cannabis-related nursing certificates through The Medical Cannabis Institute (TMCI Global) and has completed the Radicle Health Cannabis Therapeutics for Medical Professionals certificate course. She is a proud member of American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA), Cannabis Nurse Network (CNN), Americans for Safe Access (ASA) and a member of numerous other cannabis related patient and professional advocacy groups to ensure she is up to date on the latest science and the most current issues.
