Max Koby

Max Koby ABSTRAX future of terpenesMax Koby is a born leader who founded his first business when he was 18 and has since created many successful startups. As a result, Max has extensive experience in developing innovative products, establishing best practices, and brand standards along with dealing in international markets, manufacturing operations, cultivation, and the world’s largest hospitality organizations.

Prior to founding ABSTRAX, Max started his first company in the pool service and construction industry. He held a C-53 contractor’s license, and with his partner Jack, grew the business from an idea to the largest pool company in Southern California and eventually one of the largest service providers in the US. They eventually sold the business and then dove into developing an industry leading software brand that helps the largest hospitality organizations treat and manage their recreational water quality by elevating industry best practices with innovative technology to reduce liability, improve efficiency, and create the safest possible environments.

Max’s interest in the cannabis industry began when he had a heart attack at a young age. It was then that he discovered its holistic benefits, and he became involved in the industry in a limited capacity. In 2010, Max and Jack founded a non-profit collective that cultivated high quality cannabis. In the process, the partners traveled extensively to identify sought after genetics and worked to develop complex terpene profiles. Max is passionate about raising the standards of current manufacturing practices, developing / implementing systems, building solutions, and innovating new products in the cannabis industry that have global applications to create functional products that can help treat patients around the world.
